Piaggio P180

The Piaggio P180 Avanti is a business jet ( Very Light Jet category ) used for medium-haul flights designed and built by the Italian company Piaggio Aero . The plane is characterized by high regional autonomy ( for example, can make direct connections between Roma and Manchester ) with very high performance : in fact fly up to 12 500 meters ( 41 000 feet) above sea level, at a speed of 402 knots with a maximum certificated ( 745 km / h) performance that put him on par with some jet aircraft counterparts . Yet it has low operating costs and the size and comfort of the cabin typical of much larger aircraft . It is not an exaggeration to claim that the P -180 represents one of the few totally innovative designs that have appeared on the market for executive jets in the last decades , in proof of this, its supremacy in terms of performance and comfort between the turboprop is not challenged by any competitor. The concept behind the whole project was the search for maximum efficiency , evident by the very special line of the muzzle, perfectly shaped and continuous glass surfaces with generously sized design with large delay taken from the Boeing 787 .
